VERTIS AND TRAVIDIA LAUNCH STRATEGIC MARKETING ALLIANCE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Baltimore, MD and Chico, CA, March 31, 2003: Vertis, a leading provider of technology-based marketing and advertising solutions, and Travidia Inc., an Internet-based marketing management and preprint advertising services provider, today announced the formation of a strategic marketing alliance. According to the agreement, the companies will represent the Internet marketing and advertising products and services that each company offers to their respective customer bases.
Vertis’ Inserts2online™ is a service provided to national and regional retailers by which users visiting the retailer’s Web site can browse and search the advertising insert each week for special offers at their local store.
Travidia’s Integrated Marketplace, an Internet marketing management tool deployed nationally by hundreds of newspapers and other media Web sites, allows consumers to easily browse and search local display, real estate and automobile ads within the online versions of these local publications.
The strategic marketing alliance will enable Vertis’ Inserts2online customers to extend the reach of their online advertising programs from the retail Web site to local newspapers and other media Web sites offering Integrated Marketplace services.
“Travidia is an excellent partner for Vertis in this important market area,” said Herb Moloney, chief operating officer at Vertis. “They have quickly established Integrated Marketplace as one of the leading electronic marketing solutions for the newspaper industry. Our Inserts2online customers are experiencing great response to the service offered through their Web sites and we expect that they will find the ability to expand to local media sites very appealing.
”John Strisower, chairman and CEO of Travidia, added, “This alliance makes sense for both firms and for our respective customers. Vertis has been a great company to work with in developing this alliance and we look forward to continuing the evolution of this market together. Our combined strengths and market presence will help to standardize and accelerate the growth of this exciting and highly efficient new retail advertising medium.”
