Client Corner

The past few weeks have been highlighted by major expansions in Travidia’s media and retail partnerships throughout the United States, Europe, and Canada. The market leader in providing online advertising services in English and Spanish, Travidia now offers a variety of its services in German and French as well. Some notes of particular interest that reflect the extended reach and impact of these and related efforts include the following:

United States:

AZCentral:
AZ Central launched Travidia’s Integrated Marketplace solution May 1st, 2004. This versatile, high-impact service incorporates fully integrated presentations for Run-of-Press (ROP), special sections, and weekly inserts for three local grocers. One of these, Food City, provides this user-friendly offering to visitors in both Spanish and English via the Travidia tools. Travidia also services Dillard’s, AZ's largest retail partner, with insert and ROP advertising on a targeted micro-site for the Phoenix and Tucson markets. The ROP presentation includes a customized category tree built to Dillard’s specifications. A similar program launched for Macy's on August 9th of this year.

Seattle Times Company:
The JOA for the Seattle Times and Seattle Post-Intelligencer launched its NWSource, its private label of Travidia's Integrated Marketplace. After an in-depth and highly competitive review of the online advertising market that included extensive use of consumer focus groups, the Seattle Times Company selected Travidia to be its online partner. Travidia and the Seattle Times Company worked closely together to develop the specific user interface look and feel best tailored to their consumers’ requirements, and will continuously update these offerings to provide the best possible services.

Las Vegas Review Journal:
LVRJ is the leading newspaper in Nevada. Travidia went live with their first special section, Guide to Las Vegas, in July, and continues to work with LVRJ to develop a cutting edge design for their retail marketplace.

Canada & Europe:

CanWest Interactive:
CanWest Interactive is the single largest media operation in Canada. CanWest will launch Integrated Marketplaces on each of their top 13 newspaper websites, commencing with Ottawa in late September. This ground-breaking, exclusive vendor agreement is geared to cement CanWest's role as the leading innovator for print and online in the Canadian market. The move into retail ROP expands CanWest's current efforts with vertical "CareerClick" employment sites and a limited special section solution.

The Brick Warehouse Corporation:
The Brick is Canada’s largest furniture, appliance, and electronics chain with over 70 store locations and 4 distribution centers throughout 5 provinces in Canada. Launched in partnership with Travidia earlier this year, The Brick’s weekly inserts were initially offered in English. With the recent launch of a one-hundred page book of coupons in French, The Brick is now able to reach its customers through both national languages using Travidia’s presentations and services.

Hornbach:
Hornbach is one of the largest Do-It-Yourself retailers in mainland Europe, with more than 100 stores in Germany and 6 other countries. Recently, it commenced production with Travidia for monthly catalogs online in the German language. The initial roll-out contains 5 regional versions. Two additional German language editions will be released shortly for Austria and Switzerland. followed immediately thereafter by a French version, also for Switzerland. A number of related services are also being reviewed for extending Hornbach’s reach even further in the near future.

Comment: Travidia is both pleased and thankful to be able to extend the reach and the impact of its services through its media and retail partners. While constantly working to expand those partnerships throughout our global marketplace, the Sales Team also welcomes the responsibility to work closely with our current partners to ensure that they maintain their competitive edge. The results, as seen through the detailed customer behavior reporting tools we make available to all of our partners, certainly attest to the benefits of these joint efforts!

Senior Developer - Eric Siegel

"I started working at Travidia in July of 2000 along-side John Strisower, Randy Hutchison and Mark Zempel. Needing some help programming we contacted a Chico technology consulting firm to have Eric Siegel work with us to help develop our product. Eric was willing and able to do anything asked of him but we only had him for a couple of weeks. As the company grew I remember saying how it would be great to have such a sharp, competent individual like Eric working among us. I was delighted when we were able to hire him on.

Pleasure to work with you Eric!"

- Glenn Tucker

"Eric Siegel is one of Travidia's first lead developers and was instrumental in helping engineer many of Travidia's retail and media products. Before coming on board with Travidia Eric worked as a lead programmer for a technology consulting firm here in Chico for three years and helped create several successful web-based products and services. Eric has proven himself as a leader amongst his team and his work ethic and personality have won him accolades from his peers and clients alike."

CEO's Corner

It is with great pleasure that I convey Travidia has nearly completed transition of almost all customers from its foundational "legacy" publishing system to the new highly capable, flexible, scalable and reliable new architecture publishing system.

Combined with expanding into a second state-of-the-art production and hosting facility of 8,000 square feet and attainment of being cash flow positive and profitable for six straight quarters, this marks a point of executing on new initiatives.

On recent visits to several customers (and more coming soon) I was able to learn what challenges and issues as well as opportunities exist for Travidia to begin developing solutions. Thanks to this feedback and input, Travidia will begin releasing enhancements and new solutions over the coming months and quarters.

Stay tuned!

Thanks to all for your interest in Travidia.
