The fall
season promises to be a very rewarding one for Travidia's
media and retail partners as we continue to expand our online
services throughout the United States, Europe, and Canada. The
following highlight just a few of the recent changes that are
indicative of the efforts that are ongoing:
United States:
 Daytona News-Journal: The Daytona
News-Journal's recent launch with Travidia's Special
Sections solution had to compete with storm warnings
associated with hurricane Charley, but it was definitely
high-impact in its own right. Travidia processed files and had
them ready on the News-Journal’s
Website for all who wanted to view news other than the
path of the storm. It was a memorable launch…welcome,
News-Journal!
 Florida Times-Union: Jacksonville.com,
the Website of the Florida Times-Union, is now taking
advantage of Travidia's XML feed of employment display ads
uploaded as text to CareerCast. The site now sends several
dozen ROP ads each week to integrate as searchable text within
their employment vertical. These featured upsell elements
become part of a fully searchable database. The overnight
turnaround required by this product fits in neatly with
Travidia's rapid conversion guarantees. In addition, JAX also
started placing their Automotive "Dealer's
Choice" ads online this month for additional advertiser
value and exposure.
Orange County Register: Travidia and the
Orange County Register (OCR) have agreed to bring the
Integrated Marketplace service to the OCR site. OCR expects to
go live with their marketplace on or around October 15 and
will be including their classified liner feed into the
marketplace. This will be one of the first Travidia sites to
incorporate display ads, inserts and liner ads into one venue
and we are excited to be working with the flagship paper of
Freedom Newspapers. Travidia and OCR have discussed bringing
Spanish marketplaces and services to other Freedom sites as
the program grows.
Europe:
 Hornbach: Europe’s major home improvement
retailer with over 100 stores in Germany and 6 other
countries, Hornbach
has recently added three additional versions of its multi-page
monthly catalogues to its website. The new versions are for
stores in Switzerland, where the content will be made
available in Swiss German and Swiss French, and Holland, where
the content will be made available in Dutch. This extension to
the Hornbach-Travidia partnership almost doubles the page
volume being processed by Travidia, and reinforces Travidia’s
position as a major provider of online services in the
European market.
Comment: Constantly looking
for ways to insure that our media and retail partners maintain
their competitive edge, the sales team continues to receive
welcomed feedback from our established partners while
expanding Travidia’s reach to new ones. Incorporating greatly
expanded market analytics into our services is one such
improvement. Additionally, in last month’s Travidian, we noted
that our online services in English and Spanish had been
expanded to include German and French. As noted above, we’re
very pleased to be able to continue that expansion with
offerings in Dutch. These are exciting improvements that are
being well received by customers throughout the regional,
national, and international marketplaces. We look forward to
working closely with each of you to make sure you’re receiving
the maximum impact from our combined efforts!

Ads In Content (AIC)
In our
effort to continually extend advertising reach and traffic for
our media partners, Travidia is pleased to announce that
implementation testing for our AIC product is now underway for
several of our media partners. AIC increases consumer traffic
to media sites with direct links from ad thumbnail images
placed on non-shopping pages into their local shopping
marketplace. A dedicated AIC server enables Travidia to rotate
advertising according to weighted criteria and provides
branding and page impressions to complete the promotional
look.
Our media partners have the ability to control
the occurrence of ROP advertisement images, so that
advertisements are timely, pertinent to the content by which
they appear, and reflect priority advertisers in the online
marketplace.
Travidia also offers the AIC product with
custom wrappers to match the desired look and feel of each
media partner Website. For an example please visit: http://emailmarketing.travidia.com/ct/ct.php?t=52951&c=38413191&m=m&type=1

VP Strategic Initiatives - James
Green
Please help me to welcome James Green, an industry
leader, to the post of VP Strategic Initiatives. James brings
years of direct experience in the newspaper and new media
business arena, along with a proven track record and excellent
reputation, as the former president of Nando Media, a
McClatchy Company divisional presidency.
In his new
role, James will have direct responsibility for developing new
products and services to create strategic partnerships with
Travidia’s customers. Reporting directly to the CEO and
assisting to develop and execute vision, James will have
direct interaction with media and advertisers
alike.
For all of you who already know James and for
those of you who haven’t had the pleasure yet, I am certain
you will appreciate the great attitude, enthusiasm, energy and
execution that he brings to Travidia to better serve you.
Co-founder, President and COO - Randy
Hutchison
As his title suggests, Randy has
been along side of John Strisower since the first day of
Travidia Inc., which evolved out of a predecessor company
founded by John Strisower, on March 1, 2000.
Randy
holds many responsibilities within Travidia including all
operational functions involving service
provision.
Randy has 95 people reporting to him
directly or indirectly, as he leads them to excellence in
quality and customer support and service that has largely
earned Travidia its reputation in the online advertising
world.
While Randy is diligent, methodical,
trustworthy, well educated and personable, his operational
responsibility has precluded much direct customer interface in
the field. This article provides a visual linkage and
background to help you to know this integral
individual.
While not explicitly in his title, Randy
also serves as Travidia's CFO. Wearing multiple hats and
running a lean (and not so mean) shop is where some of
Travidia's efficiency is developed.
On behalf of
Travidia and its thousands of satisfied advertisers, thanks
Randy for all you do.
Travidia Employees Mourn the Loss of a Fellow
Worker
Daniel Swarm was raised in Kingsburg,
California, a small town close to Fresno. He moved to Chico to
attend school and be with his brother, Tyler. The two were
members of the Zeta Beta Tau, a fraternity Daniel was very
involved with.
Daniel became a Travidia employee in
February 2004 as a member of the ROP production team. He was
known for expressing his opinion and amusing others by making
situations humorous. Daniel's life was cut short on September
18th, 2004 at the youthful age of 19. He definitely loved
life. He will be missed.
A big thanks to Katrina
Overton who helped out enormously in this article. Katrina is
also a Travidia employee and would like people to remember
Daniel for the wonderful and genuine person he was.

Through Q3 2004, Travidia has continued to
develop organizationally, technically and financially. With
seven quarters of growing revenue, profitability and cash flow
generation, the company is well positioned to continue its
leadership in the markets it serves.
Leadership
is where I will focus this month’s CEO Corner as it has been
an excellent period for organizational growth and leadership
within Travidia. With over 140 employees, the firm has
continually worked to develop and improve its workforce. The
Managerial Organization Chart, depicted below, identifies key
roles and functions carried out by the dedicated men and women
who have leadership responsibility in serving you.

I actually had the
pleasure of writing two articles in this month’s People and
Posts column, one introducing James Green, our new VP
Strategic Initiatives and the other on Randy Hutchison, my
long-time colleague, friend, co-founder and Travidia’s
President and Chief Operating Officer.
Every week there
are significant new achievements that are continually adding
to the fun and excitement of Travidia’s corporate culture.
Thanks to Travidia’s leadership for building an outstanding
company that is fun and rewarding to work
for.
Sincerely,
John Strisower Chief Executive
